Born in Paris in 1996, Lily Saillant is a designer who graduated from the School of Decorative Arts in Paris. Trained in parallel in working with metal and ceramics with ceramist Karen Swami, then at Seoul National University, she combines through various collaborations the know-how of an object designer and the sensitivity of an artisan. From 2018, she took part in several group exhibitions such as "Wanted Design" in Brooklyn, "The Lost Graduation Show" in Milan or "Re-cycle" of Cercle 5.5, within Stu-Dio.
Its projects are an opportunity to provoke curiosity, to question uses to support their smooth evolution towards more sustainable and sensitive habits. His practice is thus positioned as an exploration of old frugal knowledge, of the cultural memory of objects and their scope to create emotions, meaning in our contemporary world.
